Do we have the ability to really change the world with a digital one?

The scarcity globally is that there are few resources, such as clean water, land that can be used for agriculture, and energy that can be harnessed. The current study on the impact of climate change describes it as “code red for humanity.” Why? We are headed towards the next mass extinction due to capitalism that is no longer able to support itself.

There are three important current trends:

We are more interdependent.
We are going from being physical to virtual and digital.
We’re getting less able to keep ourselves alive in the current physical environment.

We need to keep track of many trends if we want to prevent both humankind and nature from falling victim to catastrophe.

coming together to solve problems

We’re getting more creative as our linked environment becomes more digitally sophisticated, such as with the virtual metaverse.

The metaverse links individuals for them to exchange ideas, information, knowledge, and wisdom and cooperate on new projects and create alternative worlds with a small amount of energy expenditure compared to traditional physical reality.

We will be able to work together on answers because of this increased connection. It should be noted, however, that not all metaverses are made equal. For instance, in Facebook’s metaverse, people do not really own and manage their own data because it is centralized. This is comparable to what occurs on WhatsApp and Instagram.

Since users will control their virtual assets and identities in a decentralized metaverse like Next Earth, where Next Earth is a digital replica of Earth on the Ethereum blockchain, they will interact freely and trustlessly with each other without a central intermediary dictating their own agenda.

Donating Solutions

By way of contributions and environmental charity initiatives, digital realities may affect the world more directly.

Next Earth has people making charitable donations with everything they do because every new land acquisition will result in 10% of the purchase price being donated to a charity pool.

All contributions to the environmental charity are fully transparent since they are administered by a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), which is founded on top of the blockchain.

Increasing public awareness

To help charities, Next Earth educates the public about the need to foster a more sustainable world.

Obviously, virtual property ownership is not the same as real property ownership. To some extent, these two kinds of ownership are linked in that they both affect environmental problems in fundamental ways.

Let’s take a real-world example. In general, residents are engaged in their area because they feel responsible for ensuring sustainability and security. Both types of ownership encourage individuals to take better care of their communities, which may spur them to desire to recycle or decrease carbon emissions (since they now see wastefulness as something that hurts their own property).

It has been suggested that both types of ownership benefit community collaboration and bonding, which may also assist build neighborhood bonds and encourage cooperation amongst neighbors.

We may make a difference to the world with the assistance of a digital one by working together to solve problems, contributing to environmental organizations, and bringing attention to issues.
